Last night, Vogue World unfurled in the Place Vendôme in Paris.
What is Vogue World, you ask?
“It’s historic,” said Amandine Fourcaud, a 21-year-old fashion business student from Bordeaux, on the sidewalk behind venue. She was perched on a streetlamp base, trying to peer over the walls to see backstage.
“It’s too expensive,” said Adèle Vanhoenackere, a 17-year-old French high school student from the Paris suburbs, who was among the fans at the entrance.
“It’s for celebrities,” said Marina Arsenii, a 17-year-old French-Ukrainian model from Paris, who was there with her friend, 19-year-old Ukrainian refugee Sophia Yudaieva. “I thought we’d see more.”
“I don’t know what it is,” said Brianna Roberson, a 21-year-old fashion student at the University of Arizona in Tucson, who was in Paris on holiday with her mother, Gigi Roberson.
“Do you?”
Sort of.
